Chemistry Between Collaborators

When the right people get together to create, it feels like magic. When the wrong people get together, you can spend hours in the session scratching your head. What is the subtle difference that makes chemistry in music?

Mutual respect alone doesn't mean the song will come out great. I feel a healthy balance of play, and dare I even say, the attraction could tip the scale towards magic. In some cases in music history, a love-hate relationship has produced some hit records too!

Maybe the key is a strong emotion between the collaborators like a family tie, romantic relationship, or even a frenemy. Whatever it is, you'll need something. Otherwise, you'll be writing some flat lines.

Have you ever worked with someone that you had strong emotions for? What did you produce?
