Peter Cara: "Celebrate" (Exclusive Interview)
When did you first discover that you loved to sing, and that it was something you wanted to pursue?
As soon as I could walk, I began to show a keen interest in music. I would use a broom as my microphone. I was drawn to music. It turns out, it wasn't just a phase and quickly became my identity. From a young age, I had made up my mind about wanting to follow a music career. I was determined to become an international recording artist. I have been chasing my dreams ever since.
What was the inspiration behind your new release “Celebrate?”
Music itself was the inspiration for this song. Roy Hamilton III presented the music to me, and I instantly felt the music. When I went home that day, I raised a glass and the song quickly happened. It was a celebration, and I felt it in that moment. I'm forever grateful for that day. I let my emotions takeover, and the song “Celebrate” was born.
Looking back, this song has taken a different form for me. It feels like a celebration of life, and about never giving up. It's a new beginning. It's about chasing our hopes and dreams, as well as taking a moment to celebrate ourselves, and each other.

What do you believe makes your music unique?
When I think of artists that are unique, it's always the ones that evoke emotions in others. I feel music. I feel what I'm singing, and it comes from an honest place. I give all of me when creating music. If I don't feel it, then how can I expect anyone else to. I can only be who I am and express my feelings the best way I know how; and that is through music. It's my outlet, my passion, and all that I am. Music is emotional. It is extremely important to me, to make people feel something. This is why I want to share my music with the world.
Where do you see yourself, and your music, heading in the next 5 years?
I see myself on an international tour, doing what I love. I see myself in my element, where I am meant to be... singing, recording and performing; doing what I was born to do.
