Who inspires your music?

it’s fair to say my main influences come's from the “Drumcode style” and the incredible artists on the label. i’ve always been leaning towards the melodic side of things whilst still hitting with the heavy kicks and rolling subs.

I’ve loved classical music from a young age and i’m always trying to add the big orchestral strings in my productions. I am currently working on an album for my alias, it’s weird mix of electronic/classical music which I’m hoping i’ll finish this year.

Another big influence is Pleasurekraft and his Kraftek label. The whole “Cosmic Techno” is right up my street. They have had an amazing few years with every release being outstanding. Being at the forefront of that, is my good friend of SAMA with his ridiculous latest track “Into The Ether” which you should definitely check out.

How did you start your DJ/Production career?

I started out like 99% of DJ’s, in the bedroom. I was bought a controller for christmas present, and i must of spent every bit of spare time practising and learning the craft. I started out playing local gigs whenever i could.. (mostly to empty rooms haha).

Things grew over time naturally, i was invited out to play in Ibiza a few years back which was pretty surreal. i’ve been lucky enough to support amazing artists and play at some great clubs & festivals over the country, including EGG LDN, Ministry of Sound & We Are Festival.

I sat down a few years ago and realised if i really want to make it in this industry, I’m going to have to get my productions locked down. No matter how great you are behind the decks, you can’t just make it as a DJ anymore.

I was bought on board to a brand called ‘Driven' by the head guy Jobi. He has always supported me, being a little different and staying with my techno sound. It’s a tough scene where i’m from in terms of music genre’s, Techno hasn’t really branded out as much at the typical “Tech House” sound. So i owe him a lot for sticking with me and giving me the opportunity to showcase my style, and i can definitely say the techno scene is growing and I’m hoping i was a part of it.

Anyway, back to Driven, it’s run by 11 of us.. (you can imagine the group chat notifications). Driven has become the biggest party in the city & we are always bringing the best variety of artists from around the globe. Our next event is 20th March with Route94.

Do you have a current single out?

I currently have a track signed to Renesanz Records titled “State of Mind”. I have also just finished up two EP’s which I’m hoping to get signed to some great labels.

What genre do you specialise in?

Everyone that know’s me know’s i am straight up Techno. You can’t just beat the the rawrity of the kicks and bass and the emotion of the euphoric tracks. i don’t think another genre can match it.

What can we expect from you in 2020?

EP’s on EP’s.. I’m hoping this year will see my music reach bigger label’s/Artist, and to see big DJ's supporting my music on a global scale. I would also like to work with other artists on joint projects. i took a bag step from gigging to focus on music, but you can’t beat the feeling when playing out to room of people, so i will be pushing to get the dairy booked up for the year!
